A while back, I received a note from Mark from Stats on the Back notifying me that he had this card and inquiring whether I would be interested in having it. Of Course! So many thanks to Mark for supplying me with this card and several other Brewer cards for my team sets.

For those who probably are not following the struggling Dave Bush as closely as I or Brewer fans, he is currently on the DL with micro tearing of the triceps in his pitching arm. Prior to being placed on the disabled list, Bush had taken a Hanley Ramirez line drive to his arm. He made several starts after the injury, getting shelled in all of them, before having an MRI that discovered the injury. He is scheduled to begin his rehabilitation at AA Huntsville this week and should be back in the starting rotation after the All-Star Break.

Hopefully his return will bring some stability to the rotation. Since his placement on the DL and the corresponding demotion of the once promising Manny Parra to AAA Nashville, the starting rotation has been getting destroyed in the these two spots. Spot starter Seth McClung will likely not get another start due to two very short poor showings and AAA call up Mike Burns gave up 7 in 4.2 to the Cubs today.

As a result, the Brewers who had spent 40+ days alone in first, have failed to extend their lead and have given up the division lead to the St. Louis Cardinals.
